| BP’s Auto Sales, Inc. has provided a limited warranty with
each leased vehicle. Read the warranty carefully because the warranty
provided is the only warranty on the vehicle.
Inspect the vehicle carefully before signing the lease.
You should have your mechanic inspect the vehicle. If we need to perform repairs to
the vehicle before the lease starts, the bi-weekly payments will be increased
to cover the cost of repairs.
Repairs after the lease is signed are your responsibility or
the responsibility of the Warranty Company. BP’s Auto Sales, Inc. assumes no
responsibility for repairs after the lease is signed.
If we agree to do repairs after the lease is signed, we will
re-write the lease with higher bi-weekly payments to cover the costs.
With the Guardian Warranty, the components stated
on the warranty are covered with a $100.00 co-payment to be made by you.
Components not stated on the warranty are not
covered and replacement or repair of non-covered items is your responsibility.
Modern automobiles are quite reliable, but all vehicles are
going to need repairs from time to time. When deciding which car to lease, you
should budget a certain amount per month for repairs. Please don’t lease a car
that consumes your entire transportation budget.
To reduce the likelihood of repairs, you should choose a
vehicle with limited features.
Power windows, power seats, sunroofs and other optional
equipment are nice, but can be expensive to repair.
If you should need repairs to non-covered items, Mike Knight
will be happy to help you find parts and find ways to save money. But, he won’t
pay for the parts or repairs.
Background
BP’s LeaseToOwn program is designed around cars 4 to 9 years old with mileage between 60,000 and
110,000 miles. Other forms of financing are typically as-is and
if you have a major mechanical failure, you are responsible for the repair
costs and payments to the lender.
LeaseToOwn provides a way to keep a vehicle operable by providing insurance in the form of
a “Stated Components Warranty”. A bad power window, power seat, or radio that
are not covered won’t prevent the vehicle from being driven. So, you have time
to budget repairs.
